Health and Safety Consulting: (supported by Principal Consultant) (60%)
Provide advice, assistance and training to clients on matters relating to a variety of subjects including statutory obligations, implementation of best practice and carrying out practical tasks. Assist clients face to face, via telephone and email, referring them to another advisor if necessary.
Production of professional safety documents such as risk assessments, method statements and health and safety policies.
Assist clients to achieve compliance with contractor assessment schemes.
Request records from clients.
Produce safety documents including accident statistics, safety templates and training records.
The completion of accreditation scheme questionnaires.
Uploading documents on to accreditation scheme portals and/or give clients all information for them to forward to an assessor.
Visit premises and sites to discuss and establish clients’ requirements recognising and, where appropriate, selling them additional services.
Maintain a positive working relationship with clients.
Attending premises and sites to complete inspections and produce reports following the inspections.
Begin and maintain continuous professional development and professional memberships.
Business Development/Sales (20%)
Build credibility and value in our services through strategic research and preparation.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
Record new business opportunities, leads and relevant information in the company’s CRM system.
Meet with prospective clients, whilst building an understanding of their needs and objectives.
Develop technical sales proposals in accordance with the identified needs and objectives of prospective clients.
Submit technical sales proposals to clients and work with them to bring these proposal to a positive conclusion.
Provide ongoing technical support to new clients whilst nurturing, developing and growing client relationships.
General Administration: (8%)
Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues.
Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping and organisation of (electronic and paper documents and records) customers’ folders, desktop, email account and desk.
To provide administrative support for colleagues and the business by answering the telephone and passing on messages to the relevant person.
Manage an electronic and paper diary.
Manage the workload, including ensuring clients’ deadlines are met.
Maintain excellent communication with clients including responding to emails.
Attend meetings to support other members of staff (including occasional breakfast and evening).
Other Duties: (2%)
Carry out other duties appropriate to the post as required by the Director to help ensure the smooth running of the office and client satisfaction.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Relevant safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 5 or equivalent in health & safety and/or have relevant industry experience
Excellent IT skills, in particular with the use of Word, Excel and Outlook and other productivity tools
Excellent management and coaching skills and the ability to relate to, engage with, motivate and manage clients and their employees.
Ensuring work is produced accurately with particular attention to detail and clarity.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Past sales and client account management experience.
Experience with Salesforce Sales/Service Platform
Experience with productivity tools such as Jira and Monday.com
Experience in any of the following sectors: Renewables, energy, logistics and construction
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, keen to learn and willing to take on additional responsibilities. They must have a sound work ethic and work methodically and meticulously with a concern for order.
They must also ensure client confidentiality is maintained and comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act 2018 and company policies and procedures.
We are also interested in speaking to individuals who have experience in working in HR, Management and Sales.
